KCBS Master Series and Backyard Sanctioned Contest
Location: Baldini's Sports Casino and Restaurant, 865 S Rock Blvd, Sparks, NV 89431
It’s a Kansas City BBQ Society (KCBS) sanctioned four meat Master Series State BBQ Championship, a Jack Daniel’s World Championship Invitational Barbecue (draw) an American Royal Invitational Qualifier, as well as a Team of the Year (ToY) event for KCBS.
Master Series Sanctioned Contest
A Master Series Sanctioned Contest requires the teams to cook 4 types of meat (Chicken, Pork Ribs, Pork Butt, & Brisket). The cooking source at a Master Series Sanctioned Contest shall be of wood, wood pellets or charcoal. KCBS Rules and regulations apply. Master Series Sanctioned Contests are eligible for the American Royal and the Jack Daniels World Championship. In addition, all KCBS team members who participate in a Master Series Sanctioned Contest earn points towards the KCBS Team of the Year awards held each year at our their annual banquet.
Backyard Contest Sanctioning
Master Series Contest are intended to promote barbecue in small towns across the country. They are to be comprised of non-professional teams that are required to cook chicken and pork ribs to win a prize valued at $500.00. The cooking source at a Stand Alone Backyard Contest shall be of wood, wood pellets or charcoal. KCBS Backyard Rules and regulations apply. In addition, all KCBS team members who participate in a Backyard Sanctioned Contest earn points towards the KCBS Backyard Team of the Year

Taste of BBQ, no admission (or parking fees!) for folks to come check out (or buy) BBQ – DEADLINE FOR ENTRY to Taste of BBQ
Guaranteed Minimum $6,000 CASH payout in this KCBS BBQ Championship! Prize Breakdown posted below.
Limited Premium and Power spaces are additional $100.00 fee
RV and Trailer spaces (Dry Camping located in the parking lot)
Flooring required for all cook areas
EVENT TIMELINE
We will have set-up on Friday and Saturday Vendor Opportunities
Friday, July 1: Set up time to be determined
Saturday, July 2: 7am set-up, Meat inspection after check in, 8am Cook meeting
Trl-Tip: 1pm and Ribs: 1:30pm (with a 10 minute Turn-in window for each)
6pm: Award Presentation on stage prior to headliner.
